Economic Stimulus

Thanks to political swing and pop-culture political campaigns, the planets are in alignment for spending bills to rain in Washington. Unfortunately, we're on the brink of economic chaos and many Americans are afraid of losing their jobs. We're in a situation where most households have to cut back on their spending; but Congress has now passed two bills, within a few months of eachother, that will require almost as much money as we've spent on the War on Terror, so far. Really, this is worse than the socialism that most American's fear... they just take our money, and give out multi-million dollar bonuses to executives that are already underworked and overpaid.

Hoping that feeding the banks' hunger for money will help get our economy back on track, Congress has just voted on an "economic stimulus" bill that we'll be paying off for the next few generations; promicing loans for home buyers and jobs for home builders, who are going to buy cars from car makers, and so on, and so on... Really, the loans will probably go to the businesses that usually need these loans to give you a paycheck.

The banks are having to eat our debt, and our credit driven society is falling apart. Looks like a good time for that "change" that Obama was promicing. Hopefully, when they're revising our public education system, they'll start teaching people not to spend money they don't actually have. But, then again, this is an administration whose Secretary of Treasury forgot to pay his taxes (an offense that could land anyone else in jail.. occationally, gunned-down in their home.).

This is already like elitist-socialism, where the majority of us are bought and sold based on a government enforced value. Most of us that are suffering don't have any time to make a change, and the people that can easily make a difference are too comfortable to care. We've become so complacent that we actually start to enjoy watching Paris Hilton and others spend the money that they aquire by means of which I would hardly call "earning".

We're suposed to be intelligent beings, but most of us jump like apes over the latest trends or crazes. We're going to have to do a lot more than change our healthcare system. We have become something that is self-destructive and unsistainable. We are unconsciously wasteful and selfish. If you try to address these issues, you're branded a liberal and laughed away with bullshit reasoning. The media that we feel we can trust to be our eyes and ears has become corrupt, and leads us like sheep to the wolf's den.

A Thousand Monkeys Working at a Thousand Typewriters...

A political cartoon that was originally published in the New York Post, Wednesday, has stirred a mild racial uprising. The cartoon is based on the recent incident that made national headlines, involving a pet monkey that viciously attacked someone in Stamford, Connecticut. It features two police officers that have just gunned down the monkey, and one of the officers says, "They'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill".

People have assumed that this cartoon is refering to President Obama; as many have associated him with the stimulus bill and there are long standing jokes about black people and monkeys. I guess many people haven't heard the phrase about "...a thousand monkeys working at a thousand typewriters.", because that's what I thought the cartoon was refering to.

Some have said that the New York Post should have seen this issue coming, as it is an understandable mis-understanding. However, it's still a mis-understanding. The Reverend Al Sharpton is leading a small movement against the cartoon, calling for more censorship. I'm sure it's not a big deal, and it won't go anywhere, but the thing I don't understand is why the issue wasn't clearified in the Fox News coverage. Not even in the hacked-up statements of the creator was there any explanation of what the cartoon actually meant. Fox News should have seen this article coming...

Maybe they wanted to save people the embarrassment? I'd guess it had more to do with the fact that they can still milk that story, later. I'm suprised, though, that this is the first real massively public racial issue that I've heard involving the president since he's been in office. I try to not pay too much attention to such superfluous crap, but this just threw me for a loop.

The State of the Union - Barack Obama's Connections to Bush & Co.

With the amount of exposure and support that Barack Obama was receiving, I was pretty sure that he would win the presidency. Despite pulling Sarah Palin out of their back pocket, the Republicans couldn't pull it together. Maybe she back fired on them, or maybe people were just sick of George Bush and the Republican party.

As much as McCain claimed that he did not share interests with George Bush, he was president of the New Citizenship Project; which created the Project for a New American Century, whose members basicly orchestrated the Bush Administrations every action. People like Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Karl Rove, and Paul Wolfowitz. To say they don't share interests is a little hard to believe.

I really thought Hillary Clinton would take the Democrats and by the time Obama got the nomination, I was too burned-out on this election to even care about to whom he might be connected. Both the Republican and Democrat parties are backed by the same people, so whoever the American people were tricked into electing was serving the same interests as the other camp.

*Brzezinski with Osama bin Laden

Joe Biden is some kind of higher-up in the Council on Foreign Relations, so I thought they would just pull a Ronald Reagan and try to kill the guy if they thought they couldn't control him. I never would have guessed that Obama's wife was a director of Chicago's CFR; or that Zbigniew Brzezinski was a mentor of his.

I heard this in a video that someone sent me the morning after the election. The video also revealed many other connections that Barack Obama has to the Bush & Co. network that I hadn't even thought to look for. I was too busy watching record numbers of voters come out in the middle of the worst economic crisis we've faced in decades to vote for a guy just because of a lot of hype. Many were concerned simply with the color of his skin.

If you want to watch this video, click here. It's another one of those scaly propaganda films that may be hard to take seriously, but most of what is stated can be verified. Inform yourself, even if you think it doesn't matter. It always matters.

Martial Law? (cont.) Secret House Meetings

House Rep. Brad Sherman from California recently shed more light on Rep. Michael Burgess's comment on martial law at a house meeting that I talked about briefly in my last post. Apparently, some House Reps. were warned that if they did not pass the bill, America would fall into a state of chaos and that martial law would be immanent.

Here is a video of Mr. Sherman's statements at a house meeting, a few days ago.

I heard about this video from another video of an interview with Naomi Wolf. Wolf is a feminist writer that, some time ago, started noticing frightening similarities between our own governments behavior and that of Nazi Germany. After researching what she calls the fascist blueprint for dictators like Stalin, Hitler and Mousalini, she believes that our free democratic-republic is experiencing classic steps toward a closed, fascist society.

Here is the video of Naomi Wolf's interview.

Mrs. Wolf is a democrat. She is a former advisor to Al Gore. She has supported both Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama, and I'm sure she thinks Sarah Palin is a joke. She may have alterior motives for releasing these books, but what she's saying is no less real or unimportant. It's very easy for a free society to let go of their freedoms, and we can't let our own bias get in our way.

You can have whatever opinion you want, but ignoring others can be very dangerous. Please take a little time to objectively listen to some of these claims. Hell... watch a couple of those crazy 9/11 videos you use to disregard so quickly.

Don't take anything as fact if it can not be verified, but still try to put the pieces of the puzzle together yourself. I don't think anyone has all of the pieces lined out for you, so keep digging. Don't settle on one source and keep an open mind. Please don't ignore something because it seems far fetched, because there may be much for you to learn.

Don't get discouraged by anything you find. Instead of just staring at all of the doom and gloom and getting depressed, think about how you can make the world a better place. Let the people around you know that you have concerns, and think that they deserve some attention. We need to work together to secure our freedoms or we will lose them.

Secret House Meeting Over Martial Law?

This is a video of House Rep. Michael Burgess calling for more open discussion of legislative descisions after last nights "closed-door" meeting that was supposedly concerning the "Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act". Apparently, the news was a bit extreme as Mr. Burgess revealed that martial law was announced by the speaker of the house, Saturday night.

I've seen a few comments on some of the different postings of this video that claim this simply congressional slang for a bill that's forced through without much time to read/discuss it. In which case, why would someone say something like that on television?

This is a video from just before the meeting featuring Rep. Dennis Kucinich who wanted to know a little bit about what was going to be revealed at this meeting. Mr. Kucinich chose not to attend the meeting.

Net Neutrality

Since I moved out of Atlanta in 2006, I haven't had access to the internet until about two weeks ago. Back in 2006, net neutrality was a big issue because the telecommunications companies decided to start charging websites to allow higher bandwidth to their sites by the internet user.

In normal English, that means I'd have to pay your internet provider to let you load my page at a decent speed. Forget your connection speed. If I don't pay these companies, mafia-style, then it will take forever for my page to load. Don't even think about tryng to watch this video, below. Hopefully, this blog would be protected by the wonderful people at Blogdrive.

So, even if Blogdrive does shell out the big bucks, I'd have to register this blog with the government that apparently views me as a potential threat. I couldn't even post my music for download without a license to do so. The internet would be little more than wandering around your default ISP homepage.

At the same time, something was going through congress to allow the telcoms to consolidate these lines. Either laws were being undone, or their was new legislation being passed that somehow ends up with your TV, phone and internet lines all in one line. They also bought-out the frequencies that carry the TV broadcasts that you can pick-up with your old rabbit ear antena and want to dedicate those UHF (ultra high frequency) or VHF (very high frequency) waves (*I can't remember which one..) to cell phones.

The ability to broadcast information is a vital key in communication. I'm not interested in pirating television stations as a hobby or shits-n-giggles. Access to the internet is not a right, but it is necissary for everyone to be able to keep-up when information can be sent across the world in seconds.

Election Coverage - John McCain Announces Sarah Palin as VP

Well, John McCain pulled the hidden ace out of his sleeve yesterday when he announced his running mate, Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska. McCain said he might try to spoil the Democratic National Convention with his choice for VP after Barrack Obama had half the world waiting to hear who he picked, and McCain seems to have kept his promise.

With the Republicans going with a woman for VP, this race is now going to bring change anyway it goes. That is, if we survive this slap-fest between these two political power houses. But here I am, going on about this mess as if it weren't rigged from the beginning. I really thought that Obama was going to pull a Reagan and announce Hillary as his running mate (with a gun to his back...), but he threw a curveball with failed presidential nominee Joe Biden. This doesn't mean he's not under the thumb of the Democratic Party, though..

Money is money, and power is power. Whoever gets this job is only going to make $250,000 a year, so why are so many people investing so much into this election? I'll let you answer that one.
